Steffie Plomp from Zeilhelden (Sailingheroes), had an interview with Richard Brisius, chairman of The Ocean Race, who officially confirmed the European tour for 2021.

Besides the start of the European Tour in 2021, Brisius told us that this event may be open to other classes than the VO65 and IMOCA 60. “Let us know when you are watching what this race should be about and what you want to see in The Ocean Race Europe” Brisius said.

“With short offshore legs between European cities the tour will be a bit of a festival format”it will be a good preparation period for teams and organizers. For host cities and sponsors the European circuit will be attractive as well
