A message from Horizon Yacht Charters
The North Eastern Caribbean is reeling from the effects of
both Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and our hearts are heavy for all
neighbours and friends suffering from these natural disasters. They
are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Horizon Yacht Charters in the BVI suffered severe damage during the
passage of Hurricane Irma. However, the Horizon staff are working
tirelessly to repair yachts, order parts and get as many yachts as
possible into great condition so that they can rejoin the fleet. Horizon
also has some new yachts coming, which were already ordered by clients,
and we expect that more yacht owners will come forward looking to replace
their yacht, or to become an owner for the first time, to take advantage
of a charter market that is now in very short supply.
We would dearly love to help our staff, many of whom have worked with
Horizon for many years, and who we regard as part of our family. We
would ask you to kindly consider a donation, no matter how small, to
the Horizon Yacht Charters
BVI Staff Fund, so that we may help them rebuild their
homes and lives. Horizon will have our BVI fleet operational
initially out of Antigua (while
the BVI infrastructure recovers). We know that your BVI sailing
playground will be up and running soon, as our people have an
indomitable spirit in times of adversity ... and we ask that
you continue to come sailing with us to help support our economy and
recovery. All of us at Horizon are looking forward to welcoming you
back to our islands and providing you with the best vacations on the
water possible!
With many thanks from
our family to yours,
Sylvia and Andrew,
Directors of HYC BVI
